Collection: Tennessee v. John Thomas Scopes Trial Photographs – During 1925, Watson Davis (1896-1967), Science Service managing editor, took numerous photographs while covering the State of Tennessee v. John Thomas Scopes trial as a reporter. In what was dubbed "The Trial of the Century," Scopes was tried and convicted for violating a state law prohibiting the teaching of the theory of evolution. William Jennings Bryan served on the prosecution team, and Clarence Darrow defended Scopes. Almost eighty years later, the nitrate negatives, including portraits of trial participants, and images from the trial itself and significant places in Dayton, were discovered in archival material donated to the Smithsonian by Science Service in 1971. Marcel C. LaFollette, an independent scholar, historian and Smithsonian volunteer uncovered these rare, previously unpublished photographs of the 1925 Tennessee vs. John Scopes "Monkey Trial" in the Smithsonian Institution Archives (SIA). In 2005, SIA restored fifty-two of the negatives with funds granted by the Smithsonian Women’s Committee. Included here are thirty-nine of the images. All images belong to the Record Unit 7091: Science Service, Records, 1902-1965 collection of SIA. All photographs were taken by Watson Davis, Managing Editor of Science Service, while he was in Dayton, Tennessee, June 4-5, 1925, and July 10-22, 1925. LaFollette identified and dated each of these images, and has published a new book highlighting these and other images from the trial entitled, Reframing Scopes: Journalists, Scientists, and Lost Photographs from the Trial of the Century, University Press of Kansas, 2008.

T-Shirt layout for Obama’s visit in Ghana, July 10, 2009

The idea to create a Obama in Ghana collection for his first visit as elected President of the United States to an African country came up with the first news mid May. German designer and photographer Stefan Meisel who’s living in Abidjan, Ivory Coast since 2007 made the first layouts in the first days of June, together with designer Yves Dossou who created already a street wear collection for the Ivory Coast in 2002. The both creative are working together since February 2009 to bring fresh air in West African street wear. The studios and ateliers are beside the front shop called “Monde Perso” – which is a French catchword for “Create your own (personal) world” – in the centre of Abidjan.
L’idée de créer une collection Obama au Ghana pour sa première visite en tant que Président élu des États-Unis à un pays africain est venu avec la première nouvelle mi Mai. Designer et photographe allemand Stefan Meisel qui vit à Abidjan en Côte d’Ivoire depuis 2007 a fait la première mise en page dans les premiers jours de Juin en collaboration avec le designer Yves Dossou qui a créé déjà une collection street wear pour la Côte d’Ivoire en 2002. Les deux créateurs travaillent ensemble depuis Février 2009 pour donner un nouveau souffle au street wear en Afrique de l’Ouest. Les studios et les ateliers sont à côté du magasin "Monde Perso" dans le centre d’Abidjan

Hi, ich suche schon sehr lange (seit 2001)nach dem Interpreten zu einem Lied aus dem Genre R’n'B/Soul /Slow Jam.
Leider weiß ich den Zeitraum in dem es entstand nicht, auch der genaue Titel ist mir nicht bekannt, habe aber einen Textauszug.. der ganze Text wäre jetzt zu lang…

Dem Chorus nach dachte ich, es heisst vielleicht “Two sides to every story” aber die google-suche ergab keine zufriedenstellende Treffer.
Es ist NICHT von FIVE, Joe Walsh, Dolly Parton oder Ginuwine….das hab ich schon überprüft.
Es wird von einem oder mehreren Männern gesungen. Die Stimme klingt typisch nach RnB, vergleichbar mit Babyface.
Es ist ein langsames Lied und beginnt mit ein paar gesprochenen Zeilen bevor die Melodie und der gesungene Teil einsetzt.

wau das ist nicht so einfach ich habe ja nun vieles gesucht aber dies ist schwierig…..
Das hört sich jetzt bestimmt doof an aber es haben hier schon einige es aufgenommen wie sie es gesumt haben und kurz bei youtub reingesetzt…..da kann man vielleicht mehr raten..was hält du davon
